Biography

Vesna Johnson is an experienced higher education administrator and operations leader at the University of Missouri, where she manages programs, events, and strategic initiatives that support undergraduate research and student success. With expertise in operations management, event planning, budgeting, marketing, and stakeholder engagement, she has built a reputation for delivering high-impact programs and fostering collaborative partnerships across campus.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Vesna actively contributes to university governance and employee engagement through her service on the University of Missouri Staff Advisory Council, the Staff Recognition Week Awards and Ceremony Committee, and the Educational Award Committee. She has also served on the Sales Excellence Award Committee, supporting recognition and development initiatives across the institution.

A former collegiate volleyball standout competing under her maiden name, Vesna Trivunovic, she earned multiple First Team All-American honors and conference accolades before being inducted into the Columbia College Athletic Hall of Fame in recognition of her outstanding achievements and contributions to the sport.

Vesna holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Columbia College. Fluent in several languages and passionate about leadership, service, and student success, she brings a global perspective and a collaborative approach to every endeavor.
