Biography

Jing Wang brings more than a decade of experience in higher education, with a focus on student engagement, experiential learning, data-informed program development, and cross-campus collaboration. In her work with the Office of Undergraduate Research, she is passionate about connecting students with meaningful research opportunities while helping faculty and campus partners build sustainable pathways for undergraduate research.

Jing believes undergraduate research can play an important role in helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking, collaboration, and career-ready skills. She is particularly interested in using data and strategic outreach to connect students and faculty, identify opportunities for greater engagement, and make research more accessible to students across disciplines.

Her perspective is enriched by having traveled to more than 55 countries, experiences that have deepened her appreciation for diverse perspectives and the ways education, culture, and innovation interact. She brings that global perspective to her work with students, faculty, and campus partners.

Outside of work, Jing enjoys hands-on home improvement projects, gardening, and spending time in nature, activities that continue to inspire her creativity, problem-solving, and lifelong learning.
