Undergraduate Laboratory Assistant

Position Information

Do you like science? The Grunenwald Laboratory is looking for undergraduate students that are interested in learning the ins and outs of a microbiology lab and gaining experience in scientific research.

Job Duties

Students will be responsible for making buffers, making and autoclaving microbiology growth media, washing glassware, ordering and receiving supplies and reagents, maintaining laboratory records, assisting with laboratory setup and organization, and supporting research projects.

Required Skills

Qualified candidates will be professional and responsible, maintain excellent communication, and have a strict attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.). While previous experience in a laboratory environment is not required, a desire to learn and an enthusiasm for science is important.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous laboratory experience a bonus but not required!

Interest in creating and updating a laboratory website.
