Undergraduate Research Assistant

Assist with behavioral experiments which measure parenting behaviors and ultrasonic communication in mice. Handle data analysis of experimental data. Help with routine care for the mice: health checks, changing cages, filling water bottles/ food, etc. This is a great opportunity for those interested in biology, psychology, animal sciences, pre-veterinary medicine, and pre-medicine.
No prior experience required but attention to detail is a must.
Good communication skills.
Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior status only.
Experience handling mice and/or working in a research lab.
The individual must also possess a general interest in biology, medicine, psychology, or related disciplines. Preference will be given to individuals majoring in these fields, although applicants with other areas of expertise will be considered.
Preference will be given to students permanently living in or near Columbia.
