What advice can you give about doing undergraduate research?
You are not behind! Most people start their undergraduate research journey without any prior experience. Your lab mentors and fellow researchers are only expecting that you show up with passion and a willingness to learn.

What advice can you give about doing undergraduate research?
My advice for undergraduate research would be to explore all your interests, it is possible to find time for all the opportunities that sound interesting to you. For example, I am in two research labs because I wanted to explore more of my interests!

What advice can you give about doing undergraduate research?
“There are so many diverse research groups at MU, if a lab is not for you, explore other opportunities. Freshman year I started in a muscular dystrophy lab that didn’t really match with my passions. So, I ventured out and eventually joined a vascular lab where I have loved it ever since. Don’t be afraid to try different laboratories if one is not fitting for you.”
