Undergraduate Research Assistant

Position Information

Job Duties

Gain research experience in plant science field research by working with experienced post-docs, graduate students, and technicians. You will learn hands-on scientific research skills by pursuing answers to specific research question with members of our team.  You will assist graduate students and postdocs with tending to plants in the greenhouse, processing of plant and soil samples, collection and/or processing of images for extraction of plant features, etc. Work will be on campus or at a farm of MU’s Research Education and Extension Centers.

Required Skills

Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week in blocks of 4 h or longer. Students need to be able to work as part of a team as well as independently.

Preferred Qualifications

Aspiring and hardworking undergraduate students majoring in Plant Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Biology or related fields
