Research Assistant

Position Information

Come be a part of a brand new lab in the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences! Dr. Morett’s research focuses on how people learn and use language, with a particular focus on the role of the body. If you’re interested in how people communicate verbally and nonverbally and how the mind and brain enables this, you might be a great fit!

Job Duties

Assist with outfitting the lab, experiment implementation, data collection, and transcription and coding. Work independently and as part of a team with other undergraduates and more senior members of the lab.

Required Skills

3.0 GPA; interest in human communication, cognition, and/or neuroscience

Preferred Qualifications

Coding experience of any kind. Coursework in quantitative research methods, language science, and/or cognition. Experience working with special populations (e.g., autism spectrum disorder).
