Position Information

Are you passionate about science and eager to make a real impact? We’re a microbiology lab looking for motivated, curious, and driven undergraduate students to join our innovative research team at the forefront of breakthrough discoveries.

The projects you will assist on are focused on developing and testing novel bacterial therapeutics for the treatment of chronic disease.

Job Duties

Assist with ongoing research projects involving both bench work and rodent work.

Meticulously document findings and follow protocols.

Practice basic microbiological techniques, run PCR, gel electrophoresis, handle bacterial cultures, make media, and more.

Rodent work will include general handling, routine monitoring, assisting with surgery, tissue collection, and more.

Help to maintain a clean, safe, lab environment (ie. washing glassware, cleaning, autoclaving).

Required Skills

Responsible, detail-oriented, high-integrity individuals.

Eagerness to learn and contribute to high-impact research.

Availability to work during the summer is preferred but not required.

Previous lab experience is a plus but not required.

Ability to commit to 15-20hr/week.
