McNair Scholars Program

The McNair Scholars Program is a paid undergraduate research and graduate school preparation program, to prepare students for graduate study. A research internship can be conducted during the academic year or during the summer.

Juniors or seniors whose parents have not completed an undergraduate degree and who meet federal income guidelines are eligible for the program. Students from groups under-represented in graduate education are also eligible. Additionally, students must have a 2.8, or higher, GPA.

McNair Scholars receive a stipend up to $2,800 to conduct research and engage in other scholarly activities with faculty mentors from areas in which they hope to pursue graduate study.
