The Undergraduate Research Mentorship Program (URM) encourages and supports undergraduate participation in faculty research in departments within the College of Arts and Science. Students cooperate actively with faculty mentors, learning firsthand about the natural integration of research and teaching.
Any student in the College of Arts and Science with 50 to 75 hours of course work and a 3.25 GPA is eligible to apply for any one of three periods — fall, winter or summer. Students must apply in partnership with faculty mentors in their major department. Students who have received support from the program in the past are ineligible.
Students receive a $3,500 stipend for full-time summer work and $1,000 for work during either the fall or winter period.
