We are seeking highly motivated students in education or psychology that can commit one semester (7-10 hours a week) to the SEBA lab. Students will be responsible for traveling to area schools in Missouri (Kansas City, Jefferson City, Fulton) and completing observations of elementary classrooms. Students will be trained to observe teacher classroom management strategies and will have the opportunity to learn more about strategies that help teachers manage behavior in their classrooms. On average, students will work one full day a week between the hours of 7 am and 4:00 pm.
We will train students in our observation method.
Students with previous laboratory experience will be given priority, however, this is not a requirement. We do require applicants have transportation as you will be required to travel to different schools to complete observations.
Faculty Mentor or Sponsor
We are searching for undergraduates in psychology or education, however, all majors will be considered. If interested, please send the following information in an email to Crystal Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org : Name, year in school, major, hours available between 7 am and 4 pm Monday thru Friday and any research experience. Please include “SEBA Research Assistant” in the subject line.
We encourage students to include a resume or transcript when e-mailing a faculty mentor to apply for a posted position.
