This position includes all aspects of laboratory work in an integrative cardiovascular physiology lab mainly focused on the cardiovascular consequences of obesity. Our work involves rodent and swine models and a variety of experimental techniques. The student in this position will assist with general lab duties, ongoing research projects, and may have the option to take on their own project, depending on interest and aptitude. Opportunities available to apply for research fellowships.
Driven, self-motivated, and team-oriented. General biology/biochemistry courses completed, advanced biology or equivalent courses preferred.
3.3 or higher GPA in a science program (bio, biochem, etc). Some weekend availability. Prior work in/exposure to experimental biology lab. Desire to pursue a science/medical career.
