Student Assistants for Self-Control Study
Posted on Aug. 14, 2017
Looking for Assistants to Run Study Examining How Self-Control and IQ Influence Life Outcomes (e.g. grades, sex, finance, exercise, etc.) in College Students
This position will provide training in all aspects of data collection involving human subjects (in this case, college students). This includes:
Getting certified on the campus ethics review board
Managing the participant sign-up website
Prepping lab computers
Administering online questionnaires
Administering computer-based cognitive tests, including IQ and various other tests
Some physical file management
After learning these things under my supervision (it's pretty easy actually), you'll be able to run subjects from start to finish on your own. I'm expecting a minimum of 5 hours a week (which will amount to running 2 subjects a week). More is not required. It's up to you how much additional time you would like to invest.
Just being an interested, competent, and reliable person really.
