The MU Extension Field crop plant pathology program is seeking an enthusiastic, motivated undergraduate student to assist in conducting applied field research focusing on crop protection. Activities include:
• Participation in field-based identification and evaluation of soybean diseases and insect pests
• Identification of different insect pests collected in the field
• Analysis of data between the different treatments and locations
The candidate also will assist in the in the maintenance of field crop disease trials and perform other duties as assigned. In addition, the applicant will have the opportunity to participate in Extension field days throughout the summer.
Prior experience in biological laboratory coursework is required.
Field experience in agronomy, entomology or related field is desired, but not required.

A successful applicant will be expected to start in May 2019.
