Position Information


Looking for talent students to develop a robotic weeder for organic vegetable production. The airborne robot, also called SpiderCam Cable Robot, will scout the vegetable field, spot weeds and take them out of field. The student researchers are expected to built a prototype that can work in lab.

Required Skills

The candidates are expected to have some of the following skills:
1) Mechanical system design using CAD software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWork or similar;
2) 3D printing
3) Robotic design and control
4) Programing using C++, Python, LabView
5) Familiar with microcontrollers, such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi
6) Be responsible
