Behavioral Neuroscience Research Assistant

Assist with collecting data from rodent laboratory. You will be trained to handle rats and collect daily measures of food intake, body weight, and various behavioral assays. We will hold weekly lab meetings to discuss current research and literature in the field.
Position will begin mid semester to acclimate to the laboratory procedures before the Spring semester begins.
Biology or psychology majors are encouraged to apply. We prefer students in sophomore or junior year with a GPA of at least 3.0 that can commit at least one full year (calendar year 2018) to our laboratory research. Summer availability is not required, but is preferred.
Faculty Mentor or Sponsor
Typical weeks will require 5-10 hours of work, but may require more depending on studies being run. We will schedule in advance so there are no conflicts with class work. Some weekends will be required.
