Department of Psychological Sciences Undergraduate Grant Program
The Department of Psychological Sciences offers $250 research support grants to junior- and senior-level students majoring in psychological sciences.
- Eligibility:
- All undergraduate psychological sciences majors at the junior and senior level are eligible to apply for these research support funds, provided that they are doing research under the direction of a faculty member, with the level of student contribution and participation such that would warrant at least joint authorship if the project were presented at a regional, national, or international meeting, or published. The application deadline is February 28 of applicant's senior year.
- Pay:
- The department will award each successful application up to $250 to be used to cover the costs of doing research (e.g., animal costs, test purchases, copying and postage for surveys, etc.) or to support travel to present research at professional conferences and meetings (not including meals or other personal expenses). Undergraduate research funds are awarded for the current academic year. An extension of up to one additional academic year may be requested.
Pick up application in the department fiscal office, 203 McAlester Hall, and submit materials to the Student Services Office, 100 B McAlester Hall.
