Nominate your mentor for an award

Are you presenting at this year’s Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievements Forum?  Nominate your faculty mentor for the Outstanding Undergraduate Mentor Award!  It is never too early to start! Two nominated mentors will be awarded the Undergraduate Mentor Award and will receive an engraved plaque AND $500 for equipment & expenses.  All you need to do is submit the following information to the Office of Undergraduate Research by April 10, 2009:

  1. A nomination letter (up to two pages, single-spaced type), which includes:
    • Full name of nominee, as well as his or her current position and academic unit;
    • A description of how the nominee supports and promotes undergraduate research and creative and scholarly achievements at MU;
    • Name and signature of nominator.
  2. A list of undergraduate mentees from the past five years and a list of their accomplishments (i.e. papers, presentations, current positions).
  3. Supporting letters from faculty colleagues and previous undergraduate mentees are welcomed and encouraged, but not necessary.

Mentors will be awarded at the Undergraduate and Creative Achievements Forum recognition ceremony.  For further information or questions, contact Brian Booton.
