How did you get involved with undergraduate research?
I just e-mailed Dr. Bernards and asked if we could meet to discuss his research and how I could get involved.
On what kinds of projects have you worked?
I worked on the synthesis of bone for the last year and have recently started working on detection of a molecule in gas.
Why is this experience so valuable to you?
Since I'm heading to graduate school, the experience is crucial to my preparation and self-marketing.
What advice would you offer to other students considering undergraduate research?
Go for it. Pick a professor you like, and ask if you can get involved. It's that easy.
